Buckinghamshire Council are drafting the Local Plan to 2045.
This includes identifying sites for 95,000 new homes across the county of Buckinghamshire.
This week Bucks revealed the potential sites for this new development. There are three around Whaddon:
- Paddock Land, Junction of Coddimoor Lane and Stock Lane – potential 33 homes (the small green strip in the image)
- Shenley Park 2, west of currently planned Shenley Park development – potential further 745 homes (Shenley Park 1 and 2 are the larger green areas at the bottom)
- Beachampton new settlement, but note this goes well beyond Beachampton, down much of the Whaddon Valley – potential capacity for over 10,000 new homes! (the massive blue area!)
These developments could have a major impact on Whaddon. Whaddon Parish Council will be responding to Bucks in March. To see more about the background and WPCs strategies click here: WPC Response 20Feb26
