Shenley Dens Farm – 1000 New Homes – It’s Not Too Late to Have Your Say!

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR RESIDENTS. (9th Jan 2026)

Shenley Dens Farm – 1000 new homes proposed – within the MK City Plan 2050.

A new consultation period has been announced that will end on 16th February.

There is now an opportunity for anyone who did not previously respond/object to have their say.

Anyone who has already responded to the MK City Plan 2050 consultation need not re-submit; but you can add to, or change, your previously-submitted comments should you wish to.

The WPC Objection was sent during the previous consultation window, and a copy can be downloaded here: WPC Response to MK City Plan 2050 Consultation.

This states that:  “Once you breach the Shenley Ridge, which forms a natural and strong physical boundary to MK along this south-western edge of the City; irreparable damage will be done to the Whaddon/Nash Valley, which in turn will set a hugely damaging precedent for even more housing to be constructed in the longer term.”

How to have your say:

Simply, click the link to send an email to: ncp.engagement@milton-keynes.gov.uk

With the Subject: MK City Plan 2050 – Shenley Dens Farm

As an example,

“I have read the WPC response and fully support their objection.”

You may also want to add:

“I also agree with the planning Inspector at the Local Plan public Inquiry in 2004, who firmly rejected this same site and correctly recommended that development to the East of the City where the landscape is not so attractive, would be a more preferable alternative.”

If easier, simply forward a copy of the WPC response (so long as you agree with everything that your Parish Council has said!) along with your own supporting comments.

Don’t miss this opportunity to have your say on this development which, if it goes ahead, will have serious implications for Whaddon and its surrounding landscape.

Kind Regards

WPC Clerk & RFO,
