WPC Councillors are delighted to update everyone that we have secured a generous £7,000 of match funding from Winslow and Villages Community Board towards the provision of new play equipment for our Recreation Ground.

Last summer at the WPC sponsored annual summer play event, WPC was alerted by a concerned resident about the need for play equipment for smaller children. Sure enough, other than the cradle swings, our average-sized equipment is far too big for smaller users. Back in 2015, when our current play equipment was specified and installed, there were almost no toddlers in the village, but today we have lots of energetic youngsters looking for play facilities to suit their needs.

On the exciting new play activity menu are; a peekaboo tunnel, a minicar and an activity play panel. However, so no one is left out, along with the provision for toddlers, will be a 'Hill Climber' for older children, to replace the existing step beams; this will be a fun addition to the existing equipment and add variety to the activities currently available.

Councillors are delighted to have secured this very generous sum from the Winslow and Villages Community Board, despite very tight budgets, to top up funds already earmarked by WPC for recreation ground improvements.

WPC is now busy pushing forward to try to secure installation in time for better weather this spring/summer 2025.
